Broken Alternatives
Case study
↓
From subculture roots to a refined visual system.
Everyday streetwear with a restrained visual direction.
Broken Alternatives is a conceptual streetwear brand exploring the space between structure and disorder. The project looks at how clothing, typography, and identity can feel unfinished yet intentional — rooted in everyday wear, but shaped by subtle tension and contrast.
The visual direction is stripped back and direct, relying on raw typography, muted tones, and a limited graphic system. Rather than chasing trends, the brand focuses on consistency and attitude, allowing imperfections, repetition, and restraint to do the heavy lifting.
This concept was developed as an exploration of brand identity within streetwear, balancing functionality with expression. Broken Alternatives exists as a quiet counterpoint — less about statements, more about presence, wearability, and things that feel lived in over time.
